Whitefish Tennis Teams Down Libby in Home Opener

The Whitefish High School Tennis teams were home for the first time this season, as they played host to Libby.

In the home opener for both squads, Whitefish would come away victorious.

The Girls would sweep Libby 7-0, while the boys picked up the 5-2 team win.

Whitefish Girls 7, Libby 0.

Liesl Brust, Whitefish def. Maggie Fantozzi 6-1, 6-2.

Linsley Grubb, Whitefish def. Marissa Hollingsworth 6-4, 7-6 (4).

Emy Hansen, Whitefish def. Claire Fantozzi 6-1, 6-0.

Allie Shors, Whitefish def. Rylee Delmas 6-0, 6-0.

Maggie Mercer and Camry Kelch, Whitefish def. Bella Meyer and Aubrey Davis 6-1, 6-1.

Zoey Marzo and Aubrey Talbot, Whitefish def. Shya Huck and Augie Bailey 6-2, 6-1.

Gretel Vine and Lucy Marzo, Whitefish def. Olivia Martineau and Kayla Mesenbrink 6-0, 6-0.

Whitefish Boys 5, Libby 2.

Ryan Beagle, Libby def. Jack Oehlerich 7-5, 6-3.

Alderic Martineau, Libby def. Owen Erickson 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Bjorn Bungener, Whitefish def. Teague Thompson 6-4, 6-3.

Jack Flink, Whitefish def. Cole Sunnell 6-4, 6-2.

Walt Seigmund and Aaron Anderson, Whitefish def. Dylan Warner and Eric Thompson 6-3, 6-0.

Cole Moses and Marcus Mercer, Whitefish def. Blaise Erickson and Lyzander Gassmann 6-0, 6-2.

Jake Shors and Charlie Oehlerich, Whitefish def. Kale Hall and Isaac Lamere 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Both Whitefish Tennis teams have now had 5 matches this season.

They started off the season against Ronan and Bigfork.

Both Whitefish teams would sweep Bigfork with the boys winning 4-0 and the girls winning 6-0.

Against Ronan the girls would earn the 6-0 sweep while the boys won 4-1.

The Tennis teams have also faced off with Dillon and Polson this season. No results have been posted for those matches.

The Tennis teams are back in action Tuesday April 15th, squaring off with rivals Columbia Falls.

The girls are home with the boys on the road. Matches are set to begin at 12 noon.
