Whitefish's Rachael Wilmot Commits to Hawaii for Track

    Whitefish High School's Rachael Wilmot has committed to the University of Hawaii to continue her academic and athletic career.

    Wilmot plans on running sprints at the next level.

    Wilmot has ran track for Whitefish High School for the last several seasons.

    The news was 1st announced via Whitefish Bulldog Track's Instagram Page, with the quote: 

    "Aloha Rachael Wilmot!

    Congrats to Rachael on signing with the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors to run track next year!"

    This year Wilmot has set some blazing fast times.

    She's top 10 in the state in 4 events.

    100 Meters-12.55
    200 Meters-25.5
    400 Meters-1:00.44
    1,600 Meter Relay-Whitefish's best time is 4:10.3

    In 2024, Wilmot would finish 4th at State in the 100M, 3rd in the 200M, 3rd in the 400M and helped both the 4x100 and 4x400 Relay Relay teams take 1st.

    The University of Hawaii Track Team is a Division 1 program competing in the Big West Conference. The University of Hawaii is set to join the Mountain West Conference, as a full member, in 2026.
