The Whitefish Bulldog Baseball team is eager to hit the diamond for the 2025 Spring Sports Season.

Whitefish baseball may be practicing indoors to begin the season but the energy and excitement is palpable.

The Dawgs, while full of upperclassmen, last year, were a very raw team. The experience they've picked up over the last two years could be critical heading into the brand new season.

They return a strong core from a year ago, led by the likes of Ryan Conklin, Avery Caton and Calvin Eisenbarth. Whitefish also features a bunch of young talent that is poised to help the Dawgs make a deep run.

The Dawgs have made the State Tournament in each of their first two years, taking 2nd at state in 2023 while falling in a pair of games in 2024.

The High School Baseball scene has expanded this year with 40 teams now competing in an All Class Conference. There's four divisions with 10 teams in each division. The Dawgs will once again compete in the North that also features Columbia Falls, Eureka and Bigfork, among others.

Only eight teams will make the State Tournament.

Today, hear from Head Coach of the Dawgs, Kyler Blades, as well as Senior Shortstop Ryan Conklin, to preview the season ahead.

You can hear select Whitefish Baseball games live on the airwaves this spring. Tune into Outlaw Country 102.7FM and 1240AM for all the action.
