The Whitefish High School baseball team was back in action, Monday, as they took to the road for a conference match with Troy.
The Dawgs would come away with a 14-1 win on the day.
Whitefish would start the scoring early, plating one run in the 2nd and leading 1-0 after two innings of play. Troy would tie it up in the bottom of the 3rd at 1-1.
Whitefish would add one run each inning in frames 4-6 and blew the game wide open in the top of the 7th thanks to a 10 run frame.
The Dawgs collected 14 hits on the day, led by Ryan Conklin and Calvin Eisenbarth who had 3 a-piece. Eisenbarth drove in 4 runs on the day.
Otto Klein got the start and pitched 4 innings, gave up 1 run on 5 hits. Brady Howke pitched 2 in relief while Talus Piatowski struck out the side in the bottom of the 7th to end the game.
With the win the Dawgs are now 7-9 overall, 5-3 in conference play.

Wednesday- The Dawgs play host to Bigfork in what could decide if Whitefish advances to the State Tournament Play-in. Wednesday is also Senior Night.
Whitefish is currently seeded 3rd in the Northwest Conference with Bigfork 4th. Bigfork does own the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Friday & Saturday- The Dawgs, in partnership with The Glacier Range Riders and Columbia Falls, host the Sapa-Johnsrud Invite at Glacier Bank Park.
Whitefish plays Friday at 6pm against Hamilton or Corvallis.
Saturday, the Dawgs take on C-Falls in the nightcap at 8:30pm.
